HRR XC Championships

The HRR XC Championships are held annually. Points can be obtained when competing in the five races of the Oxford Mail XC League, the five races of the Chiltern Cross Country League, the Berks, Bucks and Oxon XC Championships race, the Southern XC Championships race and the National XC Championships race. Details of these races are in the HRR event diary.

The scoring for the 2011-12 season is different from that used in previous years:

• You score five points for each of the first eight races you run in the Oxford Mail or Chiltern leagues.
• You score points for your six best positions relative to other HRR runners in any of the league races (25 points for the first HRR runner, 24 points for the second, etc.).
• You score ten points for each championship event where you represent HRR (the BBO, the Southern and the National championships).
• You score points for your one best position in these championship events (25 points for the first HRR runner, 24 points for the second, etc.).
• Second-claim members are eligible but only score for races in which they represent HRR, i.e. the Oxford Mail league.

Each year, the Ben Reeves Trophy and Mara Myers Cup are awarded to HRR's best male and female XC runners.
