About Headington RoadRunnersHistoryHeadington RoadRunners was formed in Oxford in 1988 by an enthusiastic group of runners. The club is built firmly around its members, our motto being "Running Together". This reflects both our style of runs and the friendly social nature of the club. The aim of the club is to encourage and support its members with all their running aims. If you live in Oxford or you are just visiting, why not come along and try us?. Our membership currently stands at over 200, from 18 to 65 years of age and from those that are faster and keen on racing to those who are slower and less competitive. Our training sessions are designed to cater for all abilities and standards of runner. We run a unique Shepherding system wherein members take it in turns to lead training runs. In addition, we have more structured sessions as well. If you want to race, there are many opportunities to represent the club throughout the year both on the road or on the country. The HRR event diary provides details of both training sessions and forthcoming races in and around Oxfordshire as well as special HRR events. So if you are looking for a local race in the region, or would like to add another race to the listings, why not check it out? The homepage provides a list of approaching events, but the complete diary can also be viewed. And finally, we are affiliated to the Thames Valley Orienteering Club giving us great access to some events! Joining HRRFor membership details please click here. Where do we meet? The OXSRAD Centre! The newsletter is published each month and members should try and collect it from OXSRAD on publication day. Each member will have their Newsletter delivered if it is not collected from the club.
