|Comments:||Another sunny Sunday. Another 10k. Very popular - the Run
Jericho race was already full weeks ago, and the waiting
list left some disappointed. Preceeded by a Children's 1
mile race at 9am - where the winner came back in 5-mins-
something - 300+ runners gathered together in the playground
of St Barnabas Primary School, eagerly anticipating the off
and the promise of G&D ice cream at the end.
Round the streets of Jericho, over the footbridge to the
canal, across Port Meadow to the path along the Isis to
Wolvercote before heading back along the canal towpath to
Jericho. Cows, bridges, kissing gates and other tough
terrain makes this a more challenging city 10k - not for
those chasing a PB (stick to the Town & Gown for that). No
medals (except for kids or first time 10k racers) or goody
bag. Just water and delicious ice cream.
Oddly - they don't bother with names in the results. So if
you're not on this list - then add yourself! I'm sure there
were at least 5 or 6 of us there.
