| Brief Route Description: | OXSRAD-Risinghurst-Lewis-Limekilns-house- Shotover-Headington |

| Detailed Route Notes: | Head up to Risinghurst, using the underpasses to get under the ringroad and head up to Lewis Close, where after passing Limekilns on your right, you go up through the CS Lewis researve (small lakes), up the hill to emerge just short of the car-park on Shotover Hill. Cut across the hill on the paths down to the sandpit, down to the Ridings (many variants) and then back through Headington via Quarry Rd, returning via Sandfield Rd.

| Possible route variations: | Way-out: Continue up Kiln Lane past CS Lewis Close, left through the childrens play ground at the end, then to the far right hand corner of the playing field, where you pick up the footpath that takes you to the top of Shotover.
